Pearl Ridge: The Groundbreaking Celebration
We officially broke ground on March 26, marking a major milestone for homeownership in the Lancaster corridor!
Last month, community leaders, elected officials, and over 300 neighbors gathered at 6601 S. Lancaster Road to celebrate the official groundbreaking of Pearl Ridge. This event was the culmination of five years of community-driven planning and a shared commitment to expanding attainable housing in Oak Cliff.
During the ceremony, we were proud to unveil the official community name, which reflects both the site’s unique 70-foot elevation ridge and the persistence required to form something beautiful. This 203-home community is a key part of the City of Dallas’ 1,000 Unit Housing Challenge, connecting future homeowners to the Education Corridor, DART transit, and local employment hubs.
Key Highlights from the Event:
- Honoring the Land: We officially recognized the subdivision name, Tawakoni-Tarver, honoring the Indigenous Tawakoni people and the historic Black landownership that established this area's foundation.
- A Unified Vision: Speakers included Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price, Council Member Zarin Gracey, and leadership from Innovan Neighborhoods and Matthews Southwest.
- Sales are Live: Along with the groundbreaking, we officially launched the Pearl Ridge website and opened the interest list for Phase 1 home sales.
The doors are opening. The journey has begun.
